Our Story
Copper Tan began in September of 1993 as a six-bed salon in Ohio. In 10 years we built the business to 14 locations before selling to a national franchise. We then moved from Ohio to Florida. After starting 4 locations in 2007, we decided to merge with Tan Factory, a chain of 7 stores located in Palm Beach County. Tan Factory started its first store in 1994. We have committed to taking the knowledge from both experiences and making our Florida operation our most successful venture yet.
We strongly believe in moderate tanning through education, controlled exposure times, constant use of moisturizers before, during, and after the tanning process. In order to promote responsible tanning, we educate our employees and frequently test their knowledge of the tanning process and products we promote. We feel this enables them to be more successful in servicing customers — which is why we are all here.
